'Stephanie' Ballet Dancer

My assistant in the past was called Stephanie and she helped me so much in my small business. She is also a ballet dancer with long hair so this felt fitting.
The dancer series. A body of work that I have always wanted to make. As it stands we have seven dancer paintings and I have enjoyed the freedom, the intricacies of facial details and the flow of the ballerina’s skirts.
The blues of this piece hold well in any space, lilacs and darker purple peeking through the body of the dancers dress. Note the strength the dancer holds as she places her arms in position and her legs are controlled yet graceful. The serenity within this piece carries us to a place that allows our minds to rest and just savour the movement of a carefree dance.
