I met Stefanie through Mike McCommish and we got along royally! She never stops smiling, laughing and inspiring online and offline. She personal trains clients with such genuine enthusiasm and care. Stefanie holds fitness, food and fashion afternoons in Podium 4 sport which you should keep an eye out for. She is also an athlete with a powerful personal drive for getting better and stronger.

- In a few lines tell us a bit about yourself, work, family, lifestyle.
I’m Stefanie McCluskey a Personal Trainer and Running Coach based in Belfast. I also run a blog on Instagram called Steffie_Loves – The Fitness, Fashion, Beauty, Foodie, where I talk about all the things I Love. I have 2 beautiful Huskies called Luna and Juno who I have had since they were 6 weeks old and thats pretty much me in a nutshell.
- You are working as a PT and running coach. Can you tell us a bit about your sporting / fitness/ wellbeing background?
I work as a full time personal Trainer and Running coach. I am based in Flex Gym NI for my 1-1 Personal Training sessions, I coach Jog Belfast couch to 5k and I run seasonal outdoor bootcamps. I also train athletics, track and field 3 days a week specialising in the 100 metre sprint.
- What do you enjoy most about what you do now?
I have worked in the fitness industry for over 6 years in many different positions. My passion is to help people get their lives back on-track, helping them to be healthier happy people who feel confident within themselves. I pride myself in helping them to change their lifestyles, and especially in being able to keep the weight off long-term. I do not believe in quick-fixes, but I do believe in small life-style changes; it is important to set realistic goals that will keep you motivated and successful!
- How do you stay on track with your fitness goals?
I honestly believe that “fitness” and health is a way of life and you have to find that balance that works for you. I am all about the moderation lifestyle train hard, eat well and enjoy time with your friends and family. I don’t cut out any foods or food groups, I just try not to live in that all or nothing mindset. Little and often is okay.
- How important is nutrition to you?
I feel that nutrition is important in everyones lives but its about teaching people the right information that is practical to their life and lifestyle. Everyone is individual and everyones bodies needs are different. It’s important to educate people on what is a good balanced diet and focus on the positives, instead of all the bad food this bad food that. No food is BAD its just the amount we eat, thats the problem.
- What is your favourite activity to do outside of sport/fitness?
To take my Huskies on adventures. We love the North Coast, the beach and any forest or hill hike suits us.
- Where was the last place you holidayed?
Milan and what a beautiful city it was. I love to travel and spend quality time with friends and family.
- Do you have any advice for your younger self?
Not too much to be honest I believe that everything has it time and place, work hard, put in the effort and follow your dreams!
- If you had to choose one cheat meal what would it be?
I don’t believe in cheat meals, everything in moderation. Live your life and be happy. But I do have a very big sweet tooth!
