A week of reflection and new experiences. Two long days of filming with @nicos.a , @killianmourcou @cloudvisual and @jodiearnoux for a French documentary about different minerals around the world.

During which time I spoke of my love for capturing the intricate basalt in paintings of the giants causeway, and managed to capture the painting featured above in the right timeframe . I’ve a sore neck to prove it!!

Painting under pressure is difficult but I actually felt energy from Gemma who worked for me and sadly passed away this week, as well as feeling empowered by ancestors of ours who walked these stones before us. It just so happens that I have the privilege of being able to capture the experience with my paintbrush.

Now for a corporate workshop and delivery of a commission to finish my week. Happy almost weekend and thank you for following my journey💜

Told you I’d get my Mummy to help with the windows!! She’s 72 and still works 4 days a week. On her day off she got the marigolds out to scrub window frames for the new studio. I’m thankful to have her and it means a great deal that she is as excited about this step as I am.😃

We are working on the inside so it may be a few weeks before doors open and I think I need my Mummy down to clean the windows and weed the front🤣
