Ballyholme Esplanade – print in A3

£75.00

Ballyholme Esplanade

About the print

The colour palette within this piece has so much variation it would be hard to believe only 5 colours are used, mixed together to keep the smooth transition from one building to the next, one wave to another. Even the small figures in the right of the painting tie together subtly.

Add this to any wall ; the small A6 print in a frame with a large mount (now sold out), or the A3 above a fireplace or doorway reminding you of this familiar scene.

Printed by Media Design Belfast on 180gsm matte coated paper.

All prints are packaged carefully and shipped via Royal Mail recorded delivery to ensure they are received promptly and damage free.

A little history of Ballyholme Esplanade

Having lived in Bangor for four years after they were married, Aly and her husband walked the esplanade together, with friends and with their first born.

Many memories have been  made here, ice cream in the blustery wind, salty fish and chips overlooking the bay and fast paced buggy dashes in unexpected rain showers!

But in the right weather Ballyholme Beach is a suburb beach, placed in the seaside town of Bangor both tourists and locals alike enjoy it.

The beach is sandy and is approximately 1.3 km in length. There is a typical rocky shore at each end. The majority of Ballyholme Beach is backed by a seawall and promenade. The far eastern end of the bathing water is backed by a privately owned woodland area.

It is a curved path filled with colour, lines, structure and homeliness on one side and a calm or blustery sea scene on the other side dependant on the season.

Home to the famous Ballyholme yacht club, Ballyholme Esplanade is superb with a sheltered bay allowing safe sailing and racing for the numerous dinghies and “big boats” within the club.

Aly was awarded a first class honours degree and a distinction in her Masters in Fine Art which she completed following her degree.

Specializing in Acrylic, oil and Mixed Media Aly has a love for creating stunning vibrant paintings.  Along with a love of monochrome.

I use art in all it’s mediums to express my love for the “everyday”. Coffee cups, familiar landmarks, colour associations. All of these, I believe contribute to what is known as our “everyday”. Not only do I love drawing them, I think they are worth placing importance on.

This blog is an extension of my creativity.

I convey a realistic (the good, the bad, the funny, the sad) view into the life of a family woman, a home maker and a business woman on a journey of physical and mental wellness.
