What does my creative Christmas party involve? 🥂🎄🎨A box of goodies to begin with and in that is @sipfuldrinks prosecco, a special Christmas print, all of your art materials ( paint, pastels, paintbrush, pencil, paper, canvas) to paint a festive scene onto a 7x5 canvas. We are adding in a few little extra treats into your box.

On December 10th party night we have a Christmas playlist and I’ll be dressed in festive attire so please do come and join me. Painting, Prosecco and Mariah Carey blasting - a dream come true !! It’s my first Christmas party and because we have so many wonderful corporate events I have kept the numbers limited. This means we have time to pack your boxes in time for shipping! In every exhibition it’s nice to have a focal po

In every exhibition it’s nice to have a focal point... so this 121cm x 160cm canvas is going to do just that for my virtual exhibition called ‘Mayim’ which launches via Instagram and Facebook live on Friday 3rd December. Do you know which north coast of Ireland location I am painting? The word ‘Mayim’ is Hebrew for water and all paintings are inspired by my love of water, in Ireland.

I’ve written an article for @cofigazette about creativity and kids. Every child is different and creativity also comes in different forms to match that, it’s not just pencils and paint. Reading books, making puzzles, keeping a ball balanced on your head all fall into the Creative category and help them to get to know themselves better.

This morning my youngest opted for books over digital- a rare choice for him!!

As I read @drewdaywalt and (Norn irish) @oliverjeffers book ‘The day the crayons came home’ and giggled at the humour I loved the message personifying that notion that everyone is different.

Even though each crayon has changed ( the crayons in the picture above used to fight over who was the colour of the sun... until the sun melted them together when they were left outside) shape or their colour isn’t the owners top choice, by the end of the book they all have a new home.

I’m trying to share that with my sons- that different is ok. You may not be top choice for@someone but the ones who love you will always make space. To be honest I’m telling myself that too these days.

In honour of #antibullyingweek here is a print I have called ‘Embrace’. The original is a painting I made of my second boy and his friend in their power ranger suits. It seals a beautiful moment in time. Also, I miss hugging people.

Monday muse. Thanks @rhealyttle for showing how you #StyleYourPrint of #Salthill beach in Galway. The bubblegum blue, grey and cream tones and the thick paint marks in that print are one of my favourite. This cosy neutral space is the perfect home for it. 🌊🟦🟧

When I was making my latest podcast episode I talk

When I was making my latest podcast episode I talked about the people who have helped me through Covid recently and, through my business from when I became self employed back in 2009.

Often, it’s only on reflection that we see the kindness and faith that our supporters put in us. From home cooked meals left on the doorstep to someone taking the time to apply tape to the end of a postal tube. Or drop a line of encouragement when they see me frazzled on the school run.

The list of influential people and cheerleaders in my world would fill every instagram square. I’m thankful to many, and as well to you my customers and followers.

Here is another time in my career when l felt supported and loved. I made this painting of Ballintoy harbour almost two years ago, live in the window of Denise’s shop @omnibushome on the Lisburn road ( she is featured in second pic).

Every vision @iamdeniseburns and I had together was a fun one and this painting my was part of my ‘71’ exhibition ( 71 small oil paintings) to celebrate being listed as one of the top 100 small businesses in the UK. We used a wall in @omnibushome , had live music by @neilphilipmeehan and fun. I look forward to social art filled times when we are through this pandemic.
