28 Jan Kid friendly smoothie ||RECIPE
Don’t get me wrong,
there is a time and a place for the shop bought smoothies for kids.
They’re great for treat picnics with our boys.
But when you have all of your whole food (see my whole food shopping list here) ingredients to hand, why not rustle this up in 3 minutes?
- 1 cup Frozen blueberries (you can freeze them as you buy or it’s cheaper to buy bulk bags of frozen fruits for your smoothies)
- 1 cup Strawberries
- 1cup kale
- 2cups milk of choice
- handful almonds (leave out if nut allergy)
- 4 pitted dates chopped
- splash of maple syrup
Chop all ingredients, add to blender, serve chilled. I use a straw for my boys.
**I added a third of a vanilla protein powder sachet I have from Arbonne (see below for details). It made mine taste DELICIOUS and bulked it up. **
