December 2018’s exhibition of ‘71’ dainty Irish scenes took place at Omnibus Home on the Lisburn Road Belfast.
Each miniature painting was made with expression and love. I used a palette knife and my tiniest brushes to present detail and to add character.
The pieces showcased beautiful details such as little horses or people on beaches and the change of colour grade in mountain scenes and seascapes. The locations are from all over Ireland, some close to my heart and others I wish to visit. The aim with each painting was to transport you, even on this small scale to a place of familiarity, of sight and of sound.
The miniature paintings were 7×5 oil on canvas board.
